Aluminum DTM/GrpA replica engine mount set for use with BMW E30 M3 (S14).

These are cast of aluminum and replicate the aluminum version of the Original BMW Motorsport mounts which are NLA. When fitted these will lower the engine by 10mm but maintain the correct fore/aft positioning. The come with a pair of 10mm spacers so that one can keep the stock height as well. If you're using the spacers you will need to slot the 2 holes in the subframe ~4mm so that they can be allowed to locate properly due to the angular fitment. It is not required to shim the transmission mounts down to match the lowering of the engine.

There is a weight improvement over the stock set up as well, ~245g per side. Fitment is also an improvement over stock relative to the headers, even larger 4-1 headers.

The material, processes, and individual parts are completely spec'd out and the attention to detail is second to none. All required hardware is also included and is high tensile and plated. The urethane bushings (85 or 70 durometer) are custom spec'd for these mounts but are interchangeable with the Original BMW Motorsport parts so they can be had separately. These can be used in a road going car but are specifically designed for competition use. Testing was done on a stock road car to assess differences between these and stock mounts. NVH is increased specifically between 1-2.5k RPM so for daily use this could be a concern depending on your tolerance. There is no significant difference between the 85 and 70 durometers. We recommend the 70 for combined road use and the 85 for competition use.

For installation in a road car that retains the AC system, you will need to grind a section of the mount ~3mm for proper clearance to the AC compressor mounting bracket. Again, these were designed specifically for competition use so this is a small compromise to be made for a more stock road car.
